Love’s Got a Mind of It’s Own
June 24, 2009 by adminAlpha Males in Istanbul
June 21, 2009 by missguitarWe have been busy editing our video “Love’s got a mind of it’s own” and just started shooting “Alpha Male”. Got some pretty “macho” guys here in Istanbul and some funny stuff too. It’s been alot of fun filming and I must admit we are a little tired. Tony’s looking forward to taking a break from the videos since of course he’s been doing most of the work, especially on the editing side of things. Takes so much work!! But worth it of course.
We will spend our last day in Istanbul tomorrow, and then off to Santorini Greece again. From this point on we will not be at any new places so I probably wont be posting any new pics. We are hoping though to shoot while we are in Santorini since we got a little lazy last time and didnt shoot anything…even though we had it in our plans. I still want to get a shot being on the donkeys, but I hear that they really smell…so I probably will wait till the end of the day before I go back to the ship and take a donkey ride so I can then come back and shower. We’ll see how it goes.
Well, only a week left and we will be back home. We have had a great time but I am ready to come home. It may be hard to believe but ship life does get tiresome. There are alot of rules that get on your nerves after a while, like not being able to take certain elevators, not being able to dine in certain restaurants during the night and a whole slew of other rules. But it is a corporate scene so that’s how it goes. But either way, it has been a good journey and I have met some wonderful people. It sure does make you appreciate your own country though. For instance I found out today from one of the “Alpha Male’ guys here in Turkey that they cant even come to visit Canada. It takes a special visa to travel here and it cost them alot of money. Also while we were in Ukraine, you could really feel that they are not even remotely as advanced as we are. We really take our freedoms for granted and now I can understand why many foreigners move to Canada, just so they can have the freedom to make their own choices without the goverment looking over their shoulder all the time.
Anyways, I will be glad to sleep in my own bed soon and also pick some cherries from the back yard. We dont get too much fruit here on the ship just apples, oranges and melons, so berries will be a real treat. Let’s hope the birds havent eaten them all.
Well thanks everyone who joined me along my journey. I will be home next Saturday if anyone wants to call and say hi.

Lazy in Greece
June 9, 2009 by missguitarWell, I’d hate to be mean and say it has been hot, but it has been hot!! I really didnt know how hot it could get here. Supposedly it gets up to 40 in the mediterranean in July. Boy, am I glad I won’t be here for that. I mean I like the sun pretty much like anyone else but I could barely take it the other day when it was 35. July in T.O. will probably feel better. Anyways, I’m sure no one wants to hear that, but it’s more Tony’s weather than mine. We had a nice day off today finally and visited a place called Velos. It really isnt the spot that gets too many tourists. It’s a port town, and many port towns arent much to look at, but the are generally better for shopping than the touristy areas.
We havent shot to much stuff for video…I think we needed a little bit of a break for a bit. Tony is editing for some stuff we shot in Italy, but we had planned to get Christian from the cast (singer for the production shows on the ship) to help us on this next shoot, but his girlfriend is on board till the 14th so he said he would do something with us then. We have 3 weeks left so we will see what we come up with. I have lots of plans but not sure how realistic we can get them realized. Oh well we will do our best and see what happens. We pushed alot to get these done, since we really don’t know if and when we will be back in this part of the world.
Well that’s all folks hope everybody is good and drop us a line
Going to Santorini Greece
June 6, 2009 by missguitarHi Ya’ll.
We will be going to Santorini Greece tomorrow. We arrive late at 2:00 but I asked our cruise director Sue(she’s in charge of all that’s music) if we can start working a little later so we can do a shoot. Looks like we will be starting work at 7:30 so that gives us some time. I’m pretty excited about this part of Greece since it is supposedly on of the most beautiful islands in the world.
We will be renting a 4 wheeler so we can drive around the island and I’m hoping to get on a donkey as well. I heard the donkeys really stink so some of my colleagues suggested to get the donkey at the end of the day when we are descending back down to the ship. That way I can go and shower, otherwise I would smell like donkey all day. No thanks…I think I’ll pass on early donkey and wait for the end of the day.
I can’t believe we are half way through our contract. We only have 3 weeks left and we will be coming home. Our flight home will definately be alot shorter than our last cruise from Signapour which was 40 hours in transit. It will probably only be around 8 hours back from Italy and if its not direct it’s around 13 hours. Well either way, I feel like I have just been settling in and it will be time to leave.
Most importantly though I was able to get some really great Italian clothes while I was here. Some of them I used on the shoots so good reason to buy clothes right.
We will be off to a few other islands in Greece, namely Mykonos and Volos. After that we will be in Turkey.
Talk to you then

Ready to make new video
May 30, 2009 by missguitarThanks everybody who checked out our Youtube video. It was alot of fun to film. We alternated between Venice and Croatia. Croatia was soooo hot. It was Tony’s idea to bring an umbrella along, but I wasnt sure how we were goin to apply it. And it was perfect because it ended up raining just before we were about to go back on the ship. Talk about perfect timing.
We have a private charter this cruise. It lasts 6 days and the passengers seem like they will be alot of fun.
We will be doing another video in the next few days. I think we have chosen Love’s got a mind of its own. We also will be featuring some of the cast members from the ship. The cast are the singers and dancers who do the production shows. They practice for about 2 months in Los Vegas before coming on the ship and they stay for 8 months. They are really talented so I’ve asked Marsha and Christian and they will be joining me on some of the videos so stay tuned for that. It should be alot of fun. we are kind of making it up as we go. If you have any suggestions for the videos let us know…if we think we can do it we may try it! anyways, thanks everyone for being patient with the site. As I mentioned this is totally new for Tony and I and it has been pretty tricky at times to even get on the internet since it is by satellite so it doesnt always connect. And sometimes its pretty slow. But hey 5 years ago we didnt even have access to the internet on the ship so I wont complain too much. so if it takes me awhile to respond it’s just that I cant always figure out how to get into certain aspects of the site. Right now I am trying to respond to everyones posts but I’m having difficulty getting into the response area. Anyways, I’m sure I will figure it out. alright I’m off to bed after country night and I will hopefully be able to post some pics tomorrow on flickr from Spezia – really pretty area. Talk soon. Vivian Oh. PS. Thanks everyone for sending our video to your friends, we are trying to get as many views as possible. So keep it going. Ciau
